Fashion design students are asked to design garments based on Jewish designer Hedy Strnad’s original sketches from 1939. Hedy sadly perished during the Holocaust, but her memory lives on through her work, representing all of the creatives whose lives were tragically lost during the Holocaust.
The designs are showcased with a fashion show and alongside Hedy’s looks in a traveling exhibit with the help of the Jewish Museum of Milwaukee and the Birmingham Holocaust Education Center.
